About me
Vic Burke was raised on the South Georgia coast and spent most of his life in and around Savannah. Vic’s first call as a rookie patrol officer was to a man beating a woman with a baseball bat. The years following brought high-speed chases, drug rings, chop-shops, and murder investigations. Case files, District Attorneys and courtroom testimony cemented Vic’s understanding of two concepts that had always fascinated him: human behavior and the power of the written word. He capped his extraordinary law enforcement career with nine years service as Chief of Police in a Savannah suburb before being offered the opportunity to work in higher education preparing potential law enforcement practitioners. In his second career, Vic educated hundreds of future Criminal Justice practitioners, and exited the higher education community as a Vice President for Academic Affairs. Over the years, Vic cultivated his love of writing fiction through conferences, writing coaches and his own education. And, he has stories to tell.
Vic lives in South Georgia with his wife, Connie.
